Black History Month: Free Breakfast

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Pontiac Branch
Meeting Room

Event Details

In January 1969, the Black Panther Party began the Free Breakfast for School Children program in Oakland, CA to cook and serve food to the poor inner city youth. The program was such a success that by the end of the year, the Panthers had set up kitchens across the nation, feeding 10,000 children every day before school. Join us every Saturday morning in February to celebrate this important social program and learn more about the Black Panthers.

Register for all programs online at, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling the branch at 260-421-1350.
